In the Press

There's more Cool Jew fun all around...

Last Friday, we were interviewed at WAMU in Washington, D.C. on Interfaith Radio with producer Laura Kwerel. IFR is an independent public radio program promoting religious tolerance and interfaith understanding through dialogue. IFR airs on 60 stations nationwide. We can't wait to hear Laura's program live, with musical outtakes based on our conversation. Stay tuned for the upcoming air date.

And this week, on the gorgeous site, Red Room, "where the writers are," we're featured on "The Red Carpet" in a Literary Landscape section about recent prizewinners. It's all thanks to the accolades Cool Jew has been receiving of late.

What? You didn't hear about it? In Oct./Nov., the University of Dayton named Lisa the Erma Bombeck Humor Writer of the Month.

And this month, the Jewish Book Council announced that Cool Jew is the recipient of an honor in the "Jewish Pulitzers." Cool Jew has been named a 2008 National Jewish Book Awards finalist.

Each year, the National Jewish Book Awards honor some of the best and most exciting authors in the field of Jewish literature. Cool Jew placed in the category of "Contemporary Jewish Life and Practice." It is the only pop culture/humor book among the 2008 National Jewish Book Award honorees. In fact, it may possibly be the only Jewish funny book honored in the 50-plus years of the awards. (We're still awaiting final confirmation on that little stat!)

Mazal tov all around!
